Recommendation: Brave New World on Peacock.
So my girlfriend subscribed to the free trial of Peacock, which has a number of original series on it. Honestly, the last thing we need is ANOTHER streaming service to subscribe to, but it has this show called YELLOWSTONE on it she wanted to watch, so we signed up anyway.
The other night I was bored and looking for a new series to watch, and I noticed Peacock had adapted the Aldous Huxley dystopian classic #BraveNewWorld into an original series starring young Han Solo himself, Alden Ehrenreich. So I decided to check it out.
Wouldn't you know it? It's a really good show!
It's obviously a loose adaptation of the book which really expands upon the "utopian" world Huxley created, but it sticks close enough to the source material to be faithful while really making the content its own.
By the second episode I was hooked. It's a very "sexed up" show with lots of sex and nudity, but it explores some interesting ideas, has amazing production value, and the writing and acting is extremely good. (Even Ehrenreich, though he's probably the worst of the cast they got for the show.)
Anyway, if you are looking for a good sci-fi show to watch and you have Peacock, I recommend checking it out. It's a very gripping series. And once you're done watching it, give the book a read! It's a classic.
